With a strong breeze in The Swamp West Utd took the gamble of playing against the elements in the first half.
There wasn't too many clear cut chances in the first half with West Utd coming closest to breaking the deadlock, with about 10 mins left the ball broke to Tim McDonagh and from about 25 yards out his shot hit the top corner, 1 Nil at the break.
Playing with a strong breeze in the second half West Utd dominated the match and created numerous chances but it wasn't until about the 60 minute when Diego Bierro was played through and spotting the goalkeeper off his line he lobbed the ball into the empty net.
In fairness to Craughwell they never stopped battling and into injury time the got the goal their efforts deserved.
With the majority of this team only U13 it was another fantastic win for this great bunch of kids against older opposition.
It was also great for the Coaches to give some match time to two U12 players Jack and Steven who acquitted themselves brillantly.
